Online Workshop: Navigating Product Content Friction

$500.00

It can be easy to overlook and write off friction in your product content as too difficult to manage—but what if you could identify, solve, and use it.

This talk will help you understand how to tell the story of friction in your product content, and it will provide practical tools to help you navigate friction in your organization.

After this talk, you’ll be better equipped to:

  • Understand the three types of friction and identify how they show up in your product or experience

  • Create design artifacts, like a message map, to identify and solve friction

  • Use design tools to advocate for consistency and clarity with your partners

The first time I gave this talk was during a conference in 2022 to a room full of content strategists, designers, marketers, and people who write, edit and work with words. I’d joined a small, staffed, start-up like product team, and after 10 years, I had an opportunity to apply some of the things I’ve learned from my experiences, and from peers to launch products at scale.

I’ve created this original workshop from the talk and I’m thrilled to invite anyone working on product content to a 4-hour online workshop—with breaks—that will help you lead product change from a design POV and  progress in your career.
